MUNICIPAL & INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER
Due to the current legal situation in the environmental sector, an efficient method of dewatering is gaining great importance. Additionally, landfill sites are becoming more scarce and the costs to maintain them are constantly increasing.

In comparison to the dewatering methods of the past, the membrane filter technology offers the highest possible degree of dewatering and covers, with the help of variable process systems, all options of disposal.

All relevant legal regulations, in regard to landfill ability of dewatered sludge, such as TS content and shearing resistance, are met through the use of Klinkau Membrane Filter Plates, independent of, whether polymer flocculant or lime/iron is being conditioned. The enormous degree of dryness allows the use of dewatered sludge in thermal power plants.

Existing chamber filter presses can be retro-fitted with the Klinkau Membrane Filter Plate Program. The variable concept also accommodates all common brands of membrane filter presses on the market.

Municipal sludge filtration
A modern municipal waste treatment plant, with overhanging replaceable membrane filter plates, mixed-pack, size 1500 mm, four staybosses and center feed design, in operation since 1991.
Oil and metalliferous sludge
70 chambers overhanging membrane filter plates mixed-pack, 30 mm cake thickness. 7-10bar filtration pressure, 15 bar squeeze pressure. Total cycle time 70 to 150 minutes. Average solids content in the filter cake 60 to 70 %.
