REPLACEABLE MEMBRANE FILTER PLATES

All of the advantages and experience of the welded membrane plates in operation were retained in the development of the Klinkau Replaceable Membrane Plate. The replaceable membrane plates contain the main advantages of the membrane plate welded design. Consequential costs are significantly lower due to the membrane replaceabilty.

The replaceable membrane filter plate »overhanging empty chamber« is the robust type of membrane plate with the advantage of the quick replaceable membrane as a wear part. Hence, this »Empty Chamber« systemm is especially suited for filtration processes with rather undefined and difficult to fill slurries. Even after years of operation a membrane may be replaced without misfits in a short period of time.

The membrane plate »Empty Chamber« Clipp design is the latest development of the membrane plate product line. A combination with the advantages of the standard fixed welded membrane plate and the replaceable membrane plate makes this type of membrane plate a unique design.

The »Empty Chamber« Clip design allows squeezing into an empty or underfilled chamber.

Membrane replacement requires no additional fixtures or sealings to be installed.

This design does not allow the membrane squeeze medium to drain from the plate while the filter press is being open.

Efficient wash water distribution through a molded ring channel around the entire filtration area.

Sizes	Standard: 470, 800, 1000, 1200, 1300, 1500 mm, 1,5 x 2 m, 2 x 2 m Clip: 1200, 1500 mm Different sizes available upon request
Feed eye position	Standard: center feed, corner feed, external feed eye CLIP: center feed, corner feed, external feed eye Different feed eye positions can be designed for individual requirements.
Pressure	Standard products are suited for a maximum filtration pressure of 7 bar and a maximum squeeze pressure of 16 bar. Special designs for squeeze pressures of 30 bar and higher are available.
Temperature	The maximum allowable filtration temperature depends on the filtration pressure, the squeeze pressure, the chemical composition of the slurry to be filtered, the cycle time, the choice of material of construction and the possibility of cooling the membrane during the filtration cycle.
Materials	Klinkau Filterplates are manufactured of different materials, such as: Polypropylene, Polypropylene Modifications, Thermoplastic Elastomeres, EPDM, NBR, PVDF and own compounds for membranes. Different materials of construction are possible as well as the combination of different material for membranes and membrane body.
