Ex-proof / antistatic

Filtration processes that produce explosive gases are subject to ATEX regulations. These require filter elements to have permanent antistatic properties and earthing to enable electrostatic discharge. Die Komplette Klinkau Produktpalette ist zertifiziert gemäß ATEX – Bestimmungen. Depending on requirements, a range of materials are available such as antistatic polypropylene and antistatic TPE. The materials feature high levels of chemical resistance. Caulked and gasketed filter plates (CGR) are often used in ATEX areas and are the standard systems for Klinkau.

Klinkau has developed special antistatic compounds for its range of membrane plates. These are protected according to intellectual property rights (i.e. utility models). The compounds comply also to the German Food and Feed Code (LMBG) for the filtration of edible oils.

Vegetable and animal-derived oils and fats often require dry fractionation to separate saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. High electrostatic charges occur here that, when discharging, can damage membranes made of standard materials. Klinkau filter plates with antistatic membranes have been successfully used for many years in this area and feature very long service lives. Membrane earthing discharges any harmful electrostatic.

Technische Daten

SizesUp to a maximum of 2m x 2m.
Feed eye positionCentralised feed, decentralised feed, corner feed, external feed eye Other feed eye arrangements can be provided for specific requirements.
PressureStandard products are suitable for maximum filtration pressures of 7 bar and maximum squeeze pressures of 16 bar. Plates also available for higher filtration and squeeze pressures.
TemperaturesThe maximum permissible filtration temperature depends on factors such as filtration pressure, squeeze pressure, the chemical composition of the slurry to be filtered, cycle time and choice of filter material. Membrane cooling or heating is also possible during the filtration cycle.
MaterialsAntistatic Polypropylen, antistatic TPE and other antistatic materials.
