History

1981Establishment of Klinkau & Co GmbH in Marktoberdorf, Germany.
1982Development of the range of Klico standard membrane filter plates in a welded design and with significant technological advantages.
1984Production of the first single-piece press molded polypropylene chamber filter plate in a 2000mm x 2000mm format.
1985Establishment of Klinkau America Inc. in the USA.
1988Development of the Klico overhanging membrane plate range with replaceable membranes and empty chamber design.
1990Development of the Klico welded membrane plate empty chamber.
1993Manufacture of the first single-piece press molded membrane plate with replaceable empty chamber membranes in a 2000mm x 2000mm format.
1994Development of a special polypropylene compound for KLICO membrane filter plates to give maximum chemical resistance.
1996Establishment of Klinkau Asia SDN BHD in Malaysia.
1997Development of an antistatic polypropylene compound for membrane filter plates in explosive hazardous areas and for edible oil filtration.
1998Manufacture of the first membrane filter plate made of antistatic polypropylene material for use in edible oil filtration.
2000Development and production of the range of clip empty chamber membrane filter plates with corner and centralised feeds.
2001Development and production of the world's largest membrane made from polypropylene in a 2000mm x 2400mm format.
2002Acquisition of EnviroTech Molded Products Inc. USA and Italy and subsequent exapnsion into a new business segment.
2003Development of TCD technology (filter elements for thermal cake drying).
2005Further development of the antistatic polypropylene compounds and first deployment of a membrane filter plate in Atex zone II 1 G/D.
2008Development and manufacture of the replaceable membrane filter plate range empty-chamber multi.
2010Further development of TCD – Generation II.
2012Development and manufacture of membrane filter plates for specific mining industry requirements in sizes up to 2600 mm x 2590 mm.
